Scarlets are known to be difficult feeders when young. They are extreamly small and dine on ground skinks most of the time. Very few people breed them because the babies are so hard to get started on mice.

This young pair was wild caught and the only reason I took the risk was because the seller said they were feeding on newborn pinks. I had my doubts but they have fed on pinks four times in a row for me. Hopefully I will have good luck with them

I consider the male to be the prettiest snake I own. I will try to snap a better picture when I get a chance....I hope that this pair grows up well so I can attempt some hatchlings
