    From what I've read on here, I believe most would suggest that a bowl or some sort if dish shaped hide or rock hide with one entrance would be more secure feeling for your ball and provide more comfort. Aspen bedding is safe though and looks like you have a decent size water bowl so that should be good. You should also make sure you have either a thermostat or reostat to control the heat for both the heat lamp and heat pad to make sure they are within safe and proper ranges for your snake. Most prefer the thermostat for better control. You will need a digital thermometer with a probe to measure both the cool and warm side and ambient air temps. Also a digital hygrometer to measure humidity. Most suggest the accurite brand yuo can get from walmart for under $15 that measures temp and humidity. I have it and it works really well.
