Spider...ewwww!
I am not a fan of spiders at all and this guy is living on my porch. Any idea what it is? He's kinda pretty but still and all, it's MY porch and he is a spider!
I live Albany-ish NY. He is tiny (hence the bad pics), about 1/4" or so body, legs and all still less than an inch.

Aww, he's purdy.
And keeping all your nasty bugs out!

He is purdy, I'll give him that. That is his underside, he's upside down and I can't get a pic of his top...here's his butt though.

Re: Spider...ewwww!
Yeah, he's my new smoking buddy
He's so tiny I can barely see him and had no idea he was so pretty until after I downloaded the pics, I didn't even know had any color! I don't mind him as long as he has the good taste to stay outside!
Pat, he's close to the one you found but different enough that I'm not sure it's an exact match...maybe they are cousins. That says they build a dome web and his is flat as a pancake, he has way more white too.

Re: Spider...ewwww!
clemetine, I actually thought your pictures were quite good, especially based on the size of the spider. Depth of field was alittle off, but still a good picture.
Very pretty spider

Re: Spider...ewwww!
Thanks.
Not that I could have done any better in a studio but it was not easy trying to take his picture. His web is in a dark corner and attached to a folding chair so I was all sorts of contorted trying not to disturb him. All I have is my on-board flash and that sometimes just doesn't cut it
