You can't tell their sex from looking at them. All ball pythons have spurs.

First of all I know you can't be anywhere near 100% sure of the sex by looking at them, but it is possible to take a guess. Second, I know all ball pythons have spurs. A Male's spurs tend to be more prominent than a female's though.

Well yeah you can take a guess, but it is still 50/50. I am not convinced that you can even come close to determining the sex of a BP by looking at it (or its spurs for that matter).

You cannot sex a BP by looking at it, and males do not always have spurs more prominent than females.
Again there are only two ways to accurately sex a BP and it is probing or popping everything else is a guess and it that case it's a 50/50 to be right or wrong.

Re: Need help... Normal or morph?
I've noticed alot of people do think you can sex a BP from looking at it's tail. This one guy we ran into at Petco had a few BPs and said you can sex them from just looking at their tail. I think it's a common misunderstanding.

Popping or probing is the only way to be 100% sure on the sex..but on younger animals you can see a difference in the area just after the vent in males and females.. It's not perfect but even on hatchlings I can tell 95% of the time which it is.
