Re: My new BP cage in the works!

Oh, I fully intend to post pictures of my stackable cages...once they're finished. The weather here has been delaying my building.

Re: My new BP cage in the works!

    UPDATE

So now I have them mostly finished. I'm just playing with bulbs for heat.

Stacked. Soon to have another one just like the top cage. They're also all going to be on a cabinet I'm building.

Bulb one, 40w heat bulb. It gets too hot, so I have it on a dimmer. It hits 95 in that corner, but it's a hot bulb, so I would have to cover it.

Bulb two, a standard energy saving bulb. Bulb is just warm to the touch, but doesn't produce much heat. The corner sits at about 92.5 degrees. Also is VERY bright.

So I'm still working out the kinks. It's all sealed up though, water tight. Just have to figure out the right bulb/cover and I'll be set!

Scratch that last one, the energy saving bulb is sitting now (for the last two hours) at 95.1. Awesome.

So new hitch. Since the cages sit on top of the monitor, the bulb creates quite a bit of heat from underneath. Is there any good thin insulation I can adhere to the bottom of the BP cages so there is less/little interference?
