    never seen one of these before this morning.... althought it looks a bit familar, this thing is huge.

    okay, i found a match... appears to be a Polyphemus moth.

    apparently they don't live too long as adult moths, thus you don't see them super often. this guy/gal was definitely on their way out... kinda made my day at work though.

    the cigarette butt is not from the moth, that i'm aware of... (or me).

    these are awsome. we had like 4 or 5 this year at my building at work. maybe not the same species but something really similar.
