    Wiggling Striped Things

I candled the remaining 3 eggs last night. The 3rd egg that I suspected of going south, is definitely going bad. It has a wet look when there is no condensation in the tub and it's dented really bad. I candled it and no movement inside and no veins.

The other two look great! They are taking up a little more than half their egg and wiggling around. In one of them I could even see a pattern developing! Its so exciting!

My first plan had been to sell any males I got out of this clutch and keep the females. Now that I'm down to only two babies, I've decided to keep them if they hatch, even if they are both males. They are on day 42! Only 13-18 days left till hatching! I really hope these guys make it.

    Re: Wiggling Striped Things

I bred a 100% het pied male to a normal female. So these babies will be 50% poss. het pied normals. If I do get any females, I'm going to raise them up to breed back to the father in hopes of getting a pied.

I didn't know how I was going to make it through all this time. I kept myself very busy. Otherwise, I'd be pacing in front of the incubator for 2 months.
