I have a female albino and male het albino. I'm looking for a lavender. How would I get to breeding them. Could I breed my albino with the lavender when I get one or would it easier to just get 2 lavenders.

Re: Breeding lavender albino.
I think it was a stand alone morph from Africa originally.
They are still very expensive.

It is its own unique morph. It is not compatible with your normal albino. Het females are still in the $1000 and up price range (maybe even $2000, I've not priced them recently).

Re: Breeding lavender albino.
The originals were imported from Africa, and it's not compatible with the other albinos. Het pairs realistically are still running $1200-2000, and I've seen het males for about $500 if you want to go the long route with making possible hets. The visual lavenders are in the $5000+ range, when you can find them being offered.

Yeah I learned that the hard way. Lav is a whole nother set of genes. I can find breeding groups of 08 Poss Het Lavender Albinos for a fairly good price, but if they don't prove out then it's a 400 dollar normal breeding group.

I think he's referring to Possible Hets, not 100% Hets.
