Yeah Id just stick to what he eats for a while and multiples until he's not a chicken and will eat ONE appropriate sized meal instead of like 3 smaller ones. I know exactly what you mean. I do not enjoy killing and freezing them either. He used to be an eating machine but then he stopped and started acting scared of them.
