Denting Eggs

My eggs are on day 37! 6 eggs were laid, one went bad immediately. Then two fertile eggs went bad and had solidified. Temp in the incubator has raised slightly up to 89, as opposed to 88.5. Humidity is at 91%. The remaining 3 eggs are denting. Is this normal? I candled the eggs but my flashlight's batteries are almost dead so I couldn't see clearly. However, I did see nice red veins. No mold on these eggs and no wet spots. I took a handful of the vermiculite and squeezed it and its not as clumpy as it was in the beginning. Should I do anything for the eggs or leave them be? 23 days to go!

Sounds about normal, as they get closer to the end they will start to soften and dimple, this is normal.

ive had one egg thats been dimpled for about a week now... they are just getting close. The baby inside is moving around when i candle

I don't really see much movement in the eggs when I do candle. I have noticed the bottom of the egg is getting darker. I saw movement around day 16. After that I haven't really seen any. I did have two eggs that were fertile and developing suddenly take a turn for the worse and the fetuses died (I posted about this) and the eggs went bad. Is it possible that might happen to these? I haven't seen movement in them and from the videos I've seen of eggs at this stage, they move around quite visibly.

Eggs can go bad even after they pip. But yes dimpling is normal. Just watch the temp and humidity to make sure they stay constant. The rest is up to the animal

The egg in the back has the smallest of dents and I'm not too worried about it. Its this one on top that has dented a lot.

This is a picture of the day they were laid. You can see a slight dent on top that has now become very large.

Are you checking the humidity of the substrate, and not just the air?

The only thing I have to check humidity is that little flukers digital thermometer. I have it resting on top of the substrate. The humidity has never gone below 88% and it only does that really when I open the tub for more than a few seconds (candling). I have been checking on the eggs about every 2-3 days.

your substrate looks dry as a bone , you dont need a guage to check that just put your finger in and if it doesnt stick to your finger you need to add some water ...
when it dries out it sucks the moisture out of the egg
