hey how many hours of light from a heating light to Bps need???Mine has about 6. Too much?Too little?

They are nocturnal so they don't require light. Light cycles are sometimes used during breeding but the ambient light from the room should be enough for your enclosure. I have mine in my basement which is pretty dark and they are fine.

They don't need any light. They do need constant heat with a gradient (variance) of temperature through the enclosure. What are the temperatures in your enclosure? What Do you use to determine the temperatures ( temp gun, digital thermometer with probe, stick on wall thermometer) ? Most people use a form of heat other than a light such as a stick on heat pad on the bottom outside of a glass terrarium or flexwatt in an enclosure made of plastic.These require a thermostat to regulate the temps. What sort of environment are you supplying for the bp? Do you have hides? What sort of substrate do you use? If we understand what your set up is it would be easier to advise you in providing the proper temperature.

Well the bottom of the tanks newspaper. She's got two climbing trees one big one small. Two hide one's a box and the others this big ramp she like to go under. A dish of water and a small plant. Non toxic. Her tanks a 40 gallon and usual temp is 80 I get that from a temp probe. A then a small wall one at the cold side. She's got two heating pads too. I keep the light because it's really hard to get the tank warm in the winter.

You could just get a red bulb or a ceramic heat emitter (CHE) if you don't want to worry about stressing them out with added lights.
