    Quick Shedding Question

This is probably a stupid question, but I think my female baby BP is about to go into her first shed. She is normally always out & about in her tank, but the past few days she just stays inside her hide. Tonight I took her out and noticed that her eyes were extremely cloudy. I figured she was probably close to shedding, so I put her back home. I've also tried to raise the humidty level to ease the shedding process.

These are probably signs of a shed, yes?

I tend to over-obsess over my animals and want to make sure they are okay.

Also, I was planning on feeding her a fuzzy on Wednesday, should I forego that until she sheds? I couldn't get a straight answer on that from the FAQ's.

Thanks...sounds lame but I have learned so much more from you guys than I ever could have from BP websites.

Yeah those are signs of shed. Your on the right track by raising humidty. She probably won't eat either until the process is done.

Yup, you got it! Just leave her be for now.

My pastel shed last night- I didn't even know she was in shed (with her it's super hard to tell!) My male pastel is more obvious. Now I know why she didn't eat

    Re: Quick Shedding Question

There is nothing wrong with offering food during shed. Just keep in mind that each snake is different. I have four and all but one will eat during shed.

    Re: Quick Shedding Question

I have some that will eat when full blue and others that wont come out of their hide to feed when in blue. Each animal is different, but it wouldn't hurt to offer, if she refuses then wait til next week.
