Re: Yyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!
well then that would mean he bred a Pewter to a Pastel . cause a cinnamon pastel x pastel clutch wouldnt produce supers
Pastel Cinny is just another name for a Cinnamon ..
cause by what he said he bred 3 snakes together
Pastel X Cinny X Pastel ???????????? dont make no sense
I love it when people tell me, "You should think before you speak!" I'm like, "I did. It's what I think and I really don't give a crap what other people think."

It means he bred a male pastel to a female pastel, and then bred that same female pastel to a male cinny. AKA a double sired clutch.
Congrats on the odds! I can't wait to see them!

Re: Yyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!
sorry but i dont see that happening .. the odds of a dbl sired clutch are 1 in a million . if that were the case you would hear all the big boys doing it ..
something just dont make sense with OP's post

Idk, this year people have been getting some crazy odds. One canadian breeder got 4 bumblebees and 2 normals from a Bumblebee to normal breeding. So its definitely possible.

Re: Yyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!
Wow, I love the hate!
I bred a MALE pastel and a MALE cinnamon to my FEMALE pastel. I will get a few pics up when they are out of the eggs. The pewter started crawling out, but tucked himself back in. I guess I hit 1 in a million odds here or whatever ( SERIOUSLY doubt they are that high) but I am very pleased with this clutch.
Big breeders do use this method, I have seen it in clutch records. for some reason TheVipersHouse seems to think I am lying here. Pics will be up when they come out. Thanks to the guys who want to see the pics, I will get them up as soon as possible.

Re: Yyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!
We've seen threads on here before of double sired clutches. I believe Tim Bailey's (muddoc) clutch for the contest last year actually had more than 2 sires.
I agree the odds of getting such a good result are extremely slim, but by definition, extremely slim odds means it does happen sometimes. And he certainly was "due" to have some good odds after his first 2 clutches!
I don't remember much about the OP other than the posts about these 3 clutches, so I don't have any particular reason to trust him. However, there is nothing I've noticed in his posts to make me not trust him either.
EDIT: Totally sorry for forgetting this part... Congrats on your clutch! Looking forward to pics.

A simple congrats would suffice. Look see, like this:
That's awesome. Congrats on your clutch, you deserved it after that 1/10 pastel bit!

Re: Yyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!
sorry if I misinterpreted. I will be sure to get them up ASAP, I will even PM you a pic before they go up. I have bred both of those males to the 6 females that have laid for me this year, which is also why I think my first 2 clutches turned out so bad, they just got the bad end of the co-dom genes.
I really dont think the odds are that slim. I was constantly rotating the males with the females, so I was actually disapointed with my first 2 clutches, thought I would have gotten 1 of each at least. It paid off in this one for sure, i will take the supers over a clutch of pastels any day.
