    Question Creating extra legs on driftwood

    Hello BP Community;

    I bought a piece of driftwood but it doesn't stand up on its own. I tried leaning it against the sides and objects in the enclosure but my BP keeps knocking it over. What is the best way to create more legs on it? I was thinking cutting a piece of wood or even finding a branch outside then gluing it on. Also what kind of glue when be safe in my enclosure? I have wood glue and hot glue. Will get a different kind if needed. Thanks in advance!

    IS the driftwood for aesthetics or are you trying to have your BP climb something?

    It will be used for my BP to climb on and rub against during shedding.

    BPs arent really big climbers, but the shed things a good idea..Id use the hot glue and just stick it to the side and bottom of the glass.

    Hot glue can break because it's not meant to withstand heavy loads. If your bp ever did climb on it, it might break depending on it's weight. Check to see if wood glue is non toxic. If it is, make sure both pieces of wood are flat where you are going to attach them and make sure to clamp it while drying.

    If it's a tub just throw it in there.

    I had the same problem with the piece of fake driftwood I'm using. It would stand up fine but was unsteady and at risk of tipping with added weight. I took the hot glue method and glued it to the floor. Problem solved, no troubles at all with any movement. It's very sturdy and holds in place with no trouble while my bp climbs around!
