Graded Lessers??
You know how there are different 'grades' of certain morphs (for example.. pastels. Some are amazing and some are very mediocre)... I was just wondering, are there different grades of lessers? Or do most lesser babies look the same and most lesser adults look the same?
Just curious...
Thanks!

Re: Graded Lessers??
I think there are grades to everything, and some animals respresent morphs better than others. The biggest variable to this is personal preference. What a breeder considers a high grade and what a customer considers a high grade may be on opposite ends of the pole.
I think the reason pastels are graded are because of the high amount of variability you see in the morph, and how distinguisable a low quality to high quality pastel is. Other morphs are not as easy to pick out, but I think there are low and high quality examples of everything.

Re: Graded Lessers??
I think there are grades, but I also think it depends on peoples preferences and what they want from the morph.
I want a really nice reduced light lesser. Buts some people may want a darker richer colored one.
I don't think either is bad, it's just preference.

Re: Graded Lessers??
Well, I don't know if I'd grade them--but I do know that I've seen some lessers that made me go which I would personally consider exceptional examples of the morph, and some which I would consider average. I think it's really a matter of personal preference, though. I may value traits in an animal that other people might not.
