Out of sphagnum moss? Not wet, just plain dry moss? Would he like this in his hide to lay on, rather then the cypress mulch??

What ever you put he will use, he won't have a preference. Adding the moss isn't really neccesary.

I don't think the snake will notice a difference or have a preference. They don't really understand the concept of "bed".
