    exactly what i was going to say. if it were 98.6 degrees you would feel nothing. anything over 98.6 degrees and you would start to feel warmth. anythong under 98.6 degrees and you would feel cool...

    This is how a lot of new snake keepers end of with snakes with burns... they assume there is no way a warm side can be 90 degrees unless the can feel the warmth.
