are all yellow bellies compatible?

i currently have a Amir line yellow belly male and there is someone in my area who has a horenstien line yellow belly never heard of this line before will it make ivorys with my amir line male???

I have not heard of separate lineage with YBs.

I think they're all compatible if they're considered YBs. However, I don't know as this is my first time hearing of different lines of YBs in the first place.

I believe so. I've never heard of anything called a yellowbelly that wasn't compatible with other yellowbellies.

There have been multiple imported/captive hatched yellow bellies I'm pretty sure, which is where the different "lines" come from.

AFAIK the Orange Belly's are compatible as well.

Like was said in the above post, lots of YBs are imported as unproven YBs. Amirs line are proven to produce Ivories. Now there are other bloodlines that come from Africa, but most are picked and nobody knows if they will prove out to actually be YBs untill they are bred. Ben Siegle and Amir worked together with the Orange Bellys, and produced the new looking Ivories last year. This line is compatible with a proven YB.

Actually, I think the super stripes came about because a yellow belly was bred with another animal that 'kinda looked like' a yellow belly.

Horenstein is the breeder who proved the specter by producing the super stripe. His yellow bellies are proven het ivories, and are compatible with Amir's line. Ralph Davis' line of goblins are also het ivories. I'd buy a YB from Horenstein in a second. The worst case (and best case) that could happen is he makes a mistake and sends you a specter.
