How long after laying eggs should I feed?
My female laid eggs last Saturday. I cleaned her cage and have left her alone since then. How long should I wait before attempting to feed her?

If you've also washed her, and she isn't curled up exactly like she was when she was on eggs, I'd offer it to her a week from when she laid, or sooner if you can read her.

I agree, if she looks like she is in ambush mode she may eat earlier but most need a little time.

Re: How long after laying eggs should I feed?
I usually try to feed within a couple days after laying , she went all that time without food she is prolly hungry .
all my girls usually eat within 1-2 days after laying , a couple wait till around the 4th day ..
id say as soon as shes done laying try feeding in 2 days if she dont want it try again lil down the week ..
I love it when people tell me, "You should think before you speak!" I'm like, "I did. It's what I think and I really don't give a crap what other people think."

Same with my two so far. One of them is eating more than she did last year. She's almost gained all her weight back after laying back in late March.

It is really up to YOU and how well you know your animal, depending on my females I might feed the next day, while others might get fed 5 to 7 days later. (depends on the snake)

Alright, thanks everyone. I'll see how she is tomorrow and possibly feed her.

Re: How long after laying eggs should I feed?
I have a female who laid eggs at the end of April and has refused to eat since. The lady I bought her from is getting me some ASF scented rats and if that doesn't work some ASFs.

Did you wash everything in her cage, her cage itself, your female, and her rack space?
