I think you'd have a lot of luck taming one down if you found it as a neonate and handled it often. I had one for 6 months before I got tired of my hands and arms looking like pin cushions and sold him. He was about 2 years old and evil incarnate. I only had to open his tub a few inches and he'd start striking. He loved striking at my face. Thankfully it was never anywhere near enough for him to actually tag.

They are beautiful snakes and I'd get a baby in an instant if I ever get the chance, but no more sub-adult strike happy ones for me.
