Ticks. Help.
Ok, so these pigeons nested outside the vent in my restroom and i've found a few ticks in the restroom, in my room (ON ME), and my mom has found some in her room (both rooms right next to the restroom).
I'm actually not EXACTLY sure what they could be, but from all the pictures i've quickly gone through i'm GUESSING lyme ticks.
I have 2 main concerns.
1) Getting rid of them of course
2) My leopard gecko who is in my room.
so far i've been searching his enclosure (and him) frequently but i haven't found anything (thank goodness).
I'm of course worried but what should i be doing to make sure he doesn't get any?
right now i'm moving his entire tank to another room while i fumigate my room.
any advice would be appreciated

How big are they? The ticks that carry lyme disease are tiny like a sesame seed. (Or smaller even.) Dog ticks are bigger, maybe an eightth of an inch long. It's not likely that ticks that like mammals are going to like your leopard gecko. They are different types.
To get rid of them, you need to take your leopard gecko somewhere, strip your room of bedding etc and spray a good tick repellent. Your local vet will have the best stuff for treating rooms. Do it once and get into every nook and cranny and you should be good.

Re: Ticks. Help.
they're incredibly tiny. after looking at more pictures they're also resembling deer ticks.
i already moved my gecko and set off two foggers in the area. i'm airing it out right now and i'll see how that went. i'm also washing EVERYTHING in my room. clothes, bed covers, etc.
i'll post an update later on
