    Proven breeder?

I just had a little question about what defines a snake as a proven breeder.Since there are times a snake can breed a female but she simply not take or maybe she does take but slugs out, as well as other factors contributing to that.

Does the fact that a male bred a female, whether she took or not makes him a proven breeder? or does the female have to actually produce a clutch of fertile eggs or at least one for it to count the male as proven?

I only count it if the animal has a fertile clutch on the ground, male or female alike

    Re: Proven breeder?

When I use that term to describe our three proven males, I mean they have had healthy babies hatched (though none with us, yet).

    Re: Proven breeder?

i say proven means fertile eggs and in addition if a snake is possible het for lets say albino you must produce an albino out of that clutch to call it proven het albino.

    Re: Proven breeder?

I think a proven breeder is when an egg he produces hatches out.
