Those are Western Longnose snakes which I suspect you know are native to Ca. In fact, you can find them about 40 miles east of where you live.

They're illegal to sell in Ca.

    Re: I just aquired 2 hybrid milk/kings

    the hybrids have a name?

I have always had a slight fear of hybridizing snakes, It seems to me that with such a wild animal that you could have something really agressive?
is this a legit fear or just fear of the unknown?

I have a goldendoodle, which in essce is just a hybrid....

    Re: I just aquired 2 hybrid milk/kings

A Goldendoodle is a mixed breed dog, so not technically a hybrid any more than any mixed breed dog. But they're cute!

Those snakes are very cool... I don't know what they are.

Those are not hybrids. They are a naturally occurring native to the southwest.

There is quite a bit of variation in colour but there is no doubt what those snakes are.
