If you want to use the eco-earth just dry it out as much as you can. You could even bake it in the oven on the lowest heat setting for a while. But to be truthful, you will always have high humidity because of it and it could lead to an RI.
that's not true, it dries out and stays dry.
Would having a tub with around 90% humidity be harmful to the snake for roughly a week?
I would try to dry it out instead of waiting for it to do it on its own. While a week's time may not cause an RI, bacteria and mold would love to have an environment like that.
You could take bits of it at a time as not not wholly disturb the snake and either bake it or leave it in the sun, and rotate out the eco earth.
ya im pulling out the pine as we speak, would phones book pages work just as well as newspaper? i dont have one at the moment. i should have done my homework before wasting 5 bucks on a ton of pine. lol. i have three phone books tho
That could be a reason why your humidity is so high.
Yes, I put quite a few holes in the side with my soldering iron. I'm speed drying it with the CHE from the tank and a computer fan, so it'll maybe take another day to finish it.
