    getting close to laying??

I just watched my female leo dig a hole, through about 2 inches of substrate, all the way to the bottom of the tank just outside the entrance to her lay box. I've NEVER seen her dig like this before, she was on a mission, LoL. Her last lay date was 4/13, 6 weeks ago tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I can see eggs inside her, but thought she would've laid by now because everyone says about 2-4 weeks between lays. She was eating like crazy after the last lay until about 1 1/2-2 weeks ago she has started eating about half of what she was, and that lead me to believe she was close also. Any thoughts from anyone? I'm hoping maybe I'll wake up to some eggs tomorrow(not the breakfast kind either)! fingers crossed

Sorry I don't have an answer for this one as I have not been there myself yet But I do wish you luck with your eggs

    Re: getting close to laying??

The first gecko that I ever bred was every 6 weeks. I thought something was wrong with her since everyone said 2-4 as well. Just keep checking on the lay box, you should have eggs soon. 6 weeks is not all that uncommon ESPECIALLY if shes a first time breeder... this is my geckos 2nd year breeding and shes still every 6 weeks... ugh. Hang in there.

    UPDATE:....still no eggs

It's been 6 weeks and 3 days and no eggs. I'm pretty sure I can see them inside there. I want to yell "COME OUT!!"

And as if the wait for her to give me more eggs isn't enough I've decided to embark on my own trying to have a baby journey so now I can be impatient for both!
