    Male or female spider?

I have 1.1 pastel, two normal females, and will probs be getting a female mojave soon. I am just wondering having a female spider will be better down the road. Because say if I get a male and eventually get a bumble bee or something the spider male won't really be too useful to me. Am I correct in thinking this?

Reason I ask is that I need to choose between getting that female mojave or a female spider. I probably won't have enough money any time soon to purchase a large female morph, so only new males for the next year or so I am thinking.

I am just trying to think a head, and I can't really make up my mind.

    thanks

well whatever morphs you choose is really up to you. I would get a female cinny, then you could make some pewters.

my opinion... would be spider male or mojave male... u can breed them with ur normail females. and can also produce bees n pastalmojaves... male morphs are cheapers and can breed alot sooner than females. thats how i would do it... keep us posted.

    Re: Male or female spider?

Good points. I would be getting a good deal on either of those snakes, which is why I am sorta set on them, for now at least.

Also, I am just starting out, so I figured getting some females now would be wise, and later on I will just be able to buy breedable males to go with them.

Even though pastels are cheap now I should still make a decent amount if I get clutches this year.

I agree with pat on this one. I'd go for a male spider then you can build your spider-based morphs sooner.

    Re: Male or female spider?

I personally went with 1.2 pastels and 0.1 spider. then recently got a 0.1 bee so I would say female spider b/c its always good to have a male pastel around (not ever giving him up he was my 1st morph XD)
Ball pythons: 1.2 pastel, 1.0 Black Pastel 1.0 mojave(green) 0.1 spider, 1.0 het pied, 1.0 het clown, 1.1 het albino, 0.1 pos het albino, 1.0 shatter, 0.2 normals, 0.1 reduced pattern, 0.3 dinkers
Corn snakes: 1.0 blood, 0.1 het blood, 0.1 snow, 0.0.1 reverse okeetee
Geckos: 2.1.2 crested gecko, 0.0.1 leopard gecko
    Boas: 1.0.1 sand boas
Other: 1.1 mini australian shepherd, 2.0 cats
