this needs to be moved to the general pythons forum. But I will start by asking what size are you looking for in a snake?

well, a snake that does not exceed 5, maybe 6 feet. ok no more than 7ft lol.

I believe that a good pet is always in the eye of the beholder anyway. What works perfectly for one may not work at all for another. Personally I like burms and balls for myself, so I guess I can be of no assistance to you.

well under 5-7ft you could look into bloods they get very heavy bodied but not all that long, maybe 5 ft or so of course there's always an exception to the rule. Now on the smaller side you have your spotteds, and childrens only getting 2-3ft i believe other then that im not too sure. There are tones of snakes but I cannot think of any of the popular pythons. I guess you could go for an irian jaya carpet python they are nice snakes I think they stay in your size range.
