Lesser wouldnt eat, Paper trick worked.

I bought a Lesser 800 grams 2 months Ago, I couldnt get her to eat. I tried everything, Mice, Rats, Live, Prekilled, etc. A month went by and she finally ate some live mice. I bundled up a ton of newspaper and put it in her tub, and dumped a few mice in there. When I checked back she ate. This wasnt Ideal for me because i dont have constant supply of mice, but I breed rats. So a few weeks later I tried to get her on rats with no Luck. I cleaned her tub and puts lots of extra newspaper in her tub and balls of newspaper, put in a weaner rat and bam she ate again. I am very relieved, so if anyone has the problems Ive had, try the paper trick, its working for me.

I'll try this on one of my snakes. I've had her about 2 months and she doesn't even seem interested in eating. Thanks for sharing your story!

Re: Lesser wouldnt eat, Paper trick worked.

well Ive read it, ive seen it on forums months ago, and I never needed to try it. This girl ha me worried, I think mostly due to my impatience. I tried every trick in the book. Well smaller rats(weanlings) and the newspapers working....I wasnt sure if it was just the weanlings ....so i left a weanling in there almost a full day and she wouldnt touch it. When i add the paper she eats. I think its a security thing, Im gunna have to find a hide she likes....maybe thats it? but its working for now.

BTW Tim Thanks again for the Pinstripe and Black Pastel....you rock
