Is it ok????
I was wondering if it is ok to house bp's together for a short time period? I am supposed to be getting my new rack next weekend but I am getting 2 more snakes tomorrow. And I only have 4 tubs right now and 4 snakes! I wish my rack would have gotten here when it was supposed to but had a few complications. And the guy is coming here with the snakes tomorrow to do a trade! Will they be ok for a week?? There is plenty of room in the tubs I have now cause they are 40qt tubs and the snakes I have already are all 500 grams or less. I just don't want to put the snakes in jeopardy! I do have extra tubs and uth's so i could house them in there for the time being untill my rack gets here but they won't fit in the homemade rack I built. So they would have to be in my room somewhere. I guess I should quarunteen them anyways so I might just do that. But would like to know if ever in the future I needed to house together if they would be fine??? I know it was poor planning on my part and I take full responsibility for the bad decisions!!!!

You need to think quarantine. Also you will stress the Bps if they are in the same tub.Should only be in same tub if you are breeding.

Ok quarunteen! For how long do you do this? I have 4 others but never had to quarunteen because they were in their own tubs seperated. I know to look for mites and ticks but what else am I to be looking for besides the obvious??

Being in their own tubs "seperated" is not quarantine.
Quarantine is when you bring in a new snake you put it in another room, you use seperate things to care for that snake, you don't share it's prey items or anything to do with that snake with any snake already in your established collection. Everything is kept strictly seperate. You normally would care for your established collection first, your snakes in quarantine last. If you have a snake in QT and then bring in another new snake into the same area, then you restart your QT clock on all of those new snakes.
Most people quarantine for at least 30 days but more likely 60 to 90 days. It's not uncommon to take a fecal float test during that time if there's any concerns about the possibility of internal parasites. Normally no snake leaves quarantine until it's judged fully healthy, is eating, shedding, evacuating it's wastes properly, etc.
