    Curious about water bowl usage.

I'm just curious to see how everyone else gives water to their snakes, and I'm wondering if I'm the only one who reuses disposable deli cups? I like to use Deli cups in a PVC holder for my water bowls. It's easy to pop the old one out and pop a new one in filled with fresh water. It saves me time. But instead of throwing them away, I wash and reuse them several times. I know this is probably defeating the purpose of using disposable deli-cups in the first place, but I just can't seem to bring myself to throw away something that can still be used several more times. I do generally throw them all out and replace them every couple of months but I just can't use something once and throw it out.

So, what do YOU do? Use deli cups and throw the old ones out every time you change water? Use deli cups but reuse them? Use a regular water bowl that can be washed and disinfected over and over again?

Re: Curious about water bowl usage.

I only have a couple, so it's not a big deal for me to simply wash a couple of bowls. But I don't see anything wrong with reusing deli cups. Saves money that way. The only "purpose" you're defeating is the convenience of not having to wash them at all...but if washing them a few times doesn't bother you, then why not take advantage of the savings?

I am doing like you except that I use heavy ceramic dishes to hold the deli cups instead of PVC.

I just use plastic bowls that I wash out ever time I clean, but I can see that becoming annoying with many snakes and will probably switch to deli cups at some point.

With that said I come from a home where plastic plates are washed and reused if possible so I'm with you on washing out the deli cups.

    I use big ceramic bowls.

I rinse and refill with water every other day, and pop em in the dishwasher once a week.
