Hi ya'll!
Hello! My name is Payton. I'm new to ball pythons but not reptiles. I've had barking tree frogs, green tree frogs, African clawed frogs, & several different kinds of geckos. But right now for reptiles I've just got 1 ball python named Boomer who is a normal morph, but he has some differences that if I ever bred him to a female I would love to see what would come out! But I'm probably a lil biased lol. Right now Boomer is 10 months old & in a 10 gallon tank that I hope to be moving him out of soon & into either a 20 long or 40 gallon tank. But I have a question, I've read that a tank that is too big for a bp can cause them to stress from too much room, but if I put plenty of hides & fake plants in the tank to make it seem smaller would that work or would he still stress? Or does it just depend on the snake?
Ok so a little about me, I show & trail ride Tennessee Walking horses & Rocky Mountain horses. I'm also into photography & you can see some of my pics here, & I also have some pics of Boomer there. But I guess I could post them here, if someone wants.
But enough of my novel... I know that I am going to learn a lot here! But thanks for reading & I hope you have a AWESOME day!!!

Re: Hi ya'll!
Welcome!!!
This is a wonderful place. I just today posted a couple questions, and I got great advice!! I have ten Ball Pythons with my husband, and we hope to breed them soon.
We also have a Whippet, and I have a long history of dog foster and rescue, so I have shared life with a lot of amazing canines.
I'd love a horse some day!
Enjoy your time here

Hi Payton! Welcome to ball-pythons.net and hope that you'll enjoy your stay here.
YEARS ago, I showed Tennessee Walkers and we had one of the fastest racking horses in the state (the people I showed for).
Really miss those days!

Really!? I LOVE to watch those speed rackers go! They are also fun to ride, but you better be ready to hang on when they get going

Re: Hi ya'll!
If you poke around the husbandry section there should be lots of info regarding how to set a tank up and make it safe for a BP. They are a shy species by nature, so lots of hiding places and secure spots is a good thing.
Welcome to the site and hope you enjoy it.
Haven't had a chance to poke through your pics yet, but I used to keep, raise, and breed Arabians in a past life.
