When I first read this reply I was wondering what the heck you were talking about. Then I re-read my own first post, and see that I'm the one that said that. A more accurate description would have been 13 days of waiting on pics & weights, during which time several emails were sent back & forth with the seller stating it would happen soon, and me confirming I was still interested.

I would agree that if I had been "negotiating" for 13 days, that would be unreasonable. I would, however, think that giving the person the benefit of the doubt was perhaps stupid on my part, but not unreasonable.

13 days seems like they were really giving you the run-around and still deciding whether or not to keep the snake... Obviously they weren't very motivated in the first place to sell it (and still flip-flopping in their mind) if they couldn't at least provide you with the reasonable basics any interested customer would request.
I guess the one good thing is no $ was put down (which I would never do either, if I hadn't gotten the specs). If it were me I would post an "info" thread about this seller on the BOI because of your wasted time. People can draw their own conclusions about your info, but at least it's there.

Understood but seeing it as a buyers point of view 13 days waiting for pictures and a current weight would have pushed me away to spend my money elsewhere.

Silly me, I ASS umed you had a deal that had been backed out of.

If there was nothing firm and this is the treatment you're getting, go find someone else.

You can't force a seller to sell an animal to you. If they changed their mind, then move on. You didn't send any funds, and there was no agreement to payment/shipping etc, so there's no transaction.

If it annoys you that they decided not to sell after posting it for sale, then mark them down as not a seller you want to buy from.

    Re: What would you do?

Personally I don't think it's BOI worthy but that's totally your call, Casey. Tons of buyers back out on deals all the time and don't end up with their names all over the BOI. If you feel by the tone of this breeder's communications with you though that they were in anyway not being upfront with you or not fully honest with you about why they weren't forwarding weights and pics of the snakes, well that's a totally different kettle of fish of course. Just remember before posting on the BOI you do need to have your evidence and all your duckies in a row because you will have to substantiate any claims you make about another person.
