OK so my ball python seems to be doing much better from the scale rot flare up (thanks to you helpful people and your suggestions ). I had posted some concerns over the humidity recently as well and had some great suggestions on how to keep the humidity up where it needs to be. It is now at about 65% with a water bowl and covering much of the screen top.

But the plot thickens...

The little fella is starting a new shed cycle. His eyes are all blue and foggy. My question is this. is humidity at about 65% enough for a healthy shed? I have a snake cave for a hide that I could put damp moss in for a humidity hide, but the last time I did that the rot flared up. I really just want to eradicate the rot by keeping him dry, but I don't want him to suffer during a shed because humidity is not high enough. I imagine it would be risky to introduce a humidity hide?
