    Field Herpting - Osceola National Forest (Major DUW)

    Went field herping this past weekend with the Jax herp society. What a BLAST! Had some good luck finding frogs, banded water snakes, and some funky bugs.

    Just thought I'd share some photos.



    Saturday morning...getting ready to head out.



    Some shots of banded water snakes (we saw quite a few)









    The some capture photos...and a cranky gaping little guy...







    Here few different types of frogs we spotted. There were LOTS of frogs, lots of "ploop" sounds as you came up to the water's edge and startled the them.







    Here's a little guy you would walk right past if you weren't looking for him.



    Here are a few photos of Florida's natural beauty.

    nice pics! be careful in national forests and parks w/ snake "collecting" tools...you could get into trouble or fined.
