Why is she laying like this???

I know they do this when they are gonna lay eggs but she is not old enough or heavy enough for this! She is only like 500 grams! What other reasons do they do this?? The only explanation that I can come up with is that she just ate and is trying to poo. I just took the pic like 10 minutes ago if that helps but I doubt it. Am I right? Also her claoca was open a little bit. Please give your opinions!!

They sometimes lie in odd positions if they have had a large meal - kind of like grandpa loosening his belt and slouching in his chair at xmas.

But the slightly open cloaca thing is not something I would expect.

Has she been passing urates and poop ok?

Does she tolerate handling or does she freak out and pee on you or anything?

Yeah she has been passing urates and poo fine almost the same days as all the others. I feed them all on the same days and most of them pooped today so that is why I figured she was trying to poo. No she is fine when handeling her. This is the first time I have ever seen one doing it so it was odd when I checked on her to see her like that! As for a big meal well it was a small rat but that is what she has been eating. Or two nice sized adult mice whichever I can get at the pet store. So that is why I am sort of confused by this.

Well I guess I got my answer! She just pooped and urated! So that is probably why she was like that. Thanks dr del for your reply!

My brother would kill me if I sent her to you! LOL No it isn't cause she is usually laying over the heat tape. So I am totally confused now! As if I wasn't lastnight when I caught her upside down now I am really confused!! By the way thanks she really is a beautiful girl!!

Glad to hear you got the cloaca thing solved.

And hugging the waterbowl is also an "after a big dinner" thing.

Was the feed item any bigger than the norm?

Either way just make doubly sure the temps stay in the right range and keep an eye on her.
