Thanks, guys. I didn't check the thread before going to bed last night, so I ended up using the larger tub.

He is almost exactly as long as the tub - 23".

Here's my setup description: two hides, both a bit large (I originally had a cozy little one, but he tipped it over right away) that have bits of crumpled newspaper inside to make them more snug, water dish, and crumpled newspaper all over.

I may be "reading" him the wrong way, but he seemed really comfortable. When I first put him in, he looked around, went in the hides, came back out, drank for a very long time, and kind of hung out for ten minutes or so before going in one of the hides. And that was with several people watching him. He seemed relaxed, but I could be wrong.

I'd like to keep him in the large bin, wait a week or so, and try feeding. If he doesn't take food, I'll move him into a smaller tub. If he does, I'll assume he's not feeling stressed or uncomfortable. Does this sound ok?
