I've moved this to the breeding forum where you'll reach more of your target audience! 
I've personally not had a girl lay THAT inverted, but I also don't have a great deal of experience, myself. I'll be interested in the responses as well!

I have never seen a ball lay with that much belly up in the air.
that is truly a sight that one must see in person.

A local python owner told me that if you have a female that is getting ready to lay eggs and lays with over half of her body inverted it is a good indication she might have egg impaction and is trying to work them free. Now, I don't know how true this is, but according to this chap, he had 3 snakes behave like this and all 3 went to the vet do have their eggs removed. I hope that's not the case with your snake...
