Right idea, wrong end
Well, I've been pairing my normal female and pastel male for a number of months now, with little interest between the two of them. I had given up, until recently noticed building behavior from the female, and she's still off feed, but not losing weight (only 50 grams after not having fed since Dec), so I decided to try again. Lo and behold, they were no longer fleeing to the opposite end of the tub and sulking in balls! Instead, I've been seeing some serious cuddling and possible locks--but of course, they get antsy whenever I open the tub to check, so I try to leave them alone when I see them looking like they're locking.
I checked them just now, about five minutes ago. And I had to snap photos.
I suppose we all at some point go through that awkward teenage stage, where "It" is very exciting and confusing. But I don't think any of us have ever been quite this confused about it.
I'd like to apologize for the picture quality on the first pic. I took it through the side of the tub with no flash, because I knew they'd move if I opened the tub, lol. (And they did!) But you can get the gist of it.

That was after he started chasing her HEAD with his tail. She was pulling away, and he followed her with his tail, lol.
A better pic, after she'd (mostly!) escaped his nefarious clutches.

Hope this made you smile.
