    Blood python ate!!!!!!

Finally! But it had came down to it. I had to force feed him. But it is still good he ate! His first meal with me and I believe his first meal ever..... But I had to do this for a baby ball python before and after the 3rd time he is now almost 300grams and eats anything in sight. So hopefully my blood will follow the same path! Thanks for reading.

    Re: Blood python ate!!!!!!

Congrats! My blood was a really finicky eater when i first got her. She is still so a little bit, but she is starting to eat almost every week. Pooping on the other hand is still only a once a month or two ordeal....Hopefully that will improve with time also.

the pooping is going to stay like that. they only poop when they are good and ready.

as for feeding, whats your setup like? i had one that wouldn't eat for a while so i gave him a hide and the next feeding, he hunted from the hide and ate like a charm.

    Re: Blood python ate!!!!!!

Congrats! My BP goes off feed all the time, but it always makes my day when she eats.

I'm getting a little blood on Thursday ( ). I really hope he eats! I was told he's eating f/t mice, so that's good, although I may try to switch him to rat pups once he's settled in.

    Re: Blood python ate!!!!!!

    Congrats, Sammy!

I recently picked up my own first blood - of course, I had to name 'im "Rambo" - from a pet shop where they fed the poor snake _just_ enough to keep him alive. Maybe it's because he knows what "hungry" is, but he's absorbed every furry thing we've put in his cage so far - the last one F/T!

Good luck with your little feller into the future! (The good news is that even a finicky blood converts rat into snake better than most other critters!)

    Re: Blood python ate!!!!!!

My setup is exactly what you guys told me to do. A small cramped hide, water bowl, in a 15qt. tub, with the hot side 80-84.
