    some argus monitor pics

heres some pics of all the Argus i currently own

Kira (1+ year old female 36 inches)

Male? Simba pale argus (6 months old 29 inchs)

no names supposedly 1.1 1yr old pair about 27-29 inches (smaller then pale one above)

comparison with pale and one of the ones above (1yr old left... 6 month old right)

juv. Argus (no name) 5-6 months old and only 17-19 inches, kept in fish tank with 100f basking spot so thats why its so small. Another reason not to keep monitors in fish tanks and not to listen to pet stores when dealing with animals. To give you an idea when baby Argus are born they are about 12 inches and grow extremely quickly when given proper environment to grow.

    thanks for looking

Red face Re: some argus monitor pics

    Thanks
The only thing that is challenging is their caging needs and moving them when needed. I'm in the process of building a 6x6x6 cage with 1-2 ft of dirt, i'm hoping the pair i put in there will get along as if not i will have to put one in a smaller 8x2x4 which will mean more light/electricity running. At the same time i may be building an 8x8x6 outdoor cage for them but im not sure will i due it yet.

Thats some big lizards. Ever get bit? I bet they are bottomless pits when its time to feed. Hope the pair gets along.

Thanks, i thankfully haven't gotten bitten by one of these yet but i have came close a few times. The only big lizard i have gotten bitten by was a 42 inch male savannah that i had for 2 years but it let go as soon as it realized my hand wasn't food, not the best idea to touch a sleeping giant.
