I think your missing the point slightly.

If he was in close proximity with the others then you need to treat all the cages - and repeat it in 30 days. Basically folow the instructions on the P-A-M.

This is exactly what the quarantine period is designed for - it means any problem like mites etc is contained in a small discrete area. Can you imagine the problems and expense of something like this in a big breeders facility if they didnt use strict QT?

Rushing to put him in the rack with other animals if he has not previously been in close proximity is , to be blunt, a very bad idea.

Mites can spread other infections so you need to bear that in mind.
