Doesn't sound like you have experience starting Ball Pythons straight out of the egg... Wasn't a wise decision to buy one that hasn't even had its first shed without at least being knowledgable on what their husbandry is and how you need to go about feeding.

Babies straight out of the egg can easily go 6-8 weeks before they are really needing a meal. A week is nothing... The snake should have been allowed to shed, then given a week to rest and settle in, THEN fed. Generally mouse hoppers are good for a first meal because of the movement.
First off it has had its first shed thats why some of it is clearly still stuck to a portion of his body. Second I am fully aware of proper husbandry for a BP of any age. Third you say mouse hoppers are good because of the movement? the pinky i fed was frozen thawed soooooo...?
