Hi!
The humidity in my boys tank is constant at 53-55%, I've never had any problems with it.
However for the past few weeks my ball is getting in his waterbowl, which causes the water to spill over. This causes the humidity to rise to around 70%.
I keep him on paper towels which I have to change atleast daily because of this, but if am at work I don't notice the spillage until I get home. So am worried that being at such high humidity for so long will cause him infection and scale rot.
I have tried changing water bowls from shallow to deeper, from ceramic to tupperwares. The only one that seems to do ok is a small round bowl from the petshop. But I don't know if it might be too small.
Any suggestions please...
PS, I have checked him for mites just in case this was the reason for him bathing lately but haven't found any.
Thanks!
