Possible RI
So I recieved a pastel male several weeks ago (about 3) and he was fine when I got him off a guy on craigslist. Hes eatten for me twice, always in the same way; I offer, he sniffs, I turn off the lights and he tags. Well yesterday, when I was feeding him and my 50%pos het albino we went through the motions, but no tag on his part (my little female polished off his uneatten food).
My first thought went to RI so I held him up to my ear too see if there was any sound, and too my dismay, there was, but it was barely audible, and not frequent at all (not every time he took a breath). Would it be prudent for me to get into the vet? And is there anything I can do to make it not progress further till then? ('then' being midday tomorrow)

Re: Possible RI
Is the snake in shed? Could just be a piece of stuck shed in the nostril.
If the snake isn't wheezing or mucousy, I wouldn't see any reason to run to the vet this soon.

Re: Possible RI
He shed before I got him, litterally finished the day before I got him. I would be surprised if he was in shed again. Hes (as far is I can tell) an early '08, and already quite large.
His shed was not a clean one, as far as I heard, but he did get all of it off, according to the previous owner.

Re: Possible RI
Hm well if he is starting a new shed cycle, it could be a piece of skin in there.
I would say keep an eye on him and if you notice any other RI symptoms, go to the vet.

Re: Possible RI
Yea, thats always an option, it just seems strange that it'd be a month between cycles when hes a yearling.
