Horrible Quality Frozen Rats

My Girl was a little piglet when it came to eating which was great, my supplier for her frozen food has changed and its sort of puzzling, she was on Mice for a long time I bumped her to Rats, and she was fine, they were bigger and more suited for her size.

These new Frozen rats almost seem like they were killed and let sit to long before frozen or something they have a wicked bad smell they are pre-packaged. When I use my Hemostat to feed her I find the tails are just breaking off everytime which I thought was odd. My girl is a great size and really healthy but she doesnt seem to want to touch these Rats.

I realize snakes are not carion animals even though they eat frozen but I am curious I am sure they can detect bad or rotting food source? I have had to go back to these small little mice she gobbels up like candy but I am getting nothing into her with substantial size or nutrition.

I have to feed her like 3 or 4 in a feeding, whats your suggestions? I hope this makes sense guys thanks

Just curious, where did you get the rats? I get mine from rodentpro.com and they seem to be pretty good quality.

Try to find some larger mice. AmericanRodent has a great sale going on for large mice. 15 cents a pop and free shipping if you order $100 or more.

I would just feed her mice until you can get much better quality rats or just feed her mice. Mine all do well on them and I have around 30 Balls.
