Is this ok for my substrait?

I currently keep aspen in my tubs but I was thinking on switching to paper. I picked up a roll of recycled paper at wall mart. Is it ok to use recycled paper or should I stay with the aspen?

    Like recycled newspaper?

Should work fine. Cheap and easy for cleaning.

Newspaper is fine. Recycled paper shouldn't have any ill effects on your pet.

Newspaper is easy and fine to use. It's what most breeders keep their snakes on.

I hardly see anyone using newspaper on youtube...Most of the paper I see is plain white...If this is true I will just use newspaper...

Don't worry about what you see or don't see on You Tube. The experts here are the ones to listen to and I'll take the advice of the fine folks here anyday over what I might see or might not see on You Tube. You'll be fine using recycled paper or newspaper if you prefer that.

Recycled paper is fine, and so is newspaper, just make sure you give it I think(10 days) or so to dry, double check on that one. When I said newspaper, I meant recycled paper or news paper, doesn't matter.

Re: Is this ok for my substrate?

It's fine. We have had some difficulty in the past switching over, however. When switching from aspen to newsprint, several of our BPs went off food for months (not during the normal season). The day we switched back to aspen they all ate. Go figure. (Much thanks to the herp guy who told us to switch back.) Also, you need to check enclosures daily for spilled water. Wet newsprint should be changed ASAP, or in that humid environment, you'll get mold--not a great smell, and not healthy for snakes to have mold spores abound.
