    I'd consult a vet about food changes.
    Just like humans, animals can sometimes have digestive systems that react differently to certain ingredients.

    Like someone mentioned above, compare the ingredients list on both products.
    You say the former was an "equivalent" so hopefully you'll be able to rule out what it is that's reacting so harshly with kitty.

    In the mean time, get arm and hammer odor control kitty litter and pack the litter box room with baking soda air freshener boxes
