    some snakes can adapt well to environmental changes (garters, king/milksnakes, racers, copperheads) but others can only deal w/ very little to no change (timber rattlesnakes).

    my cousin lives in hopkinton and has found eastern milks, racers & garters on his property.

    For a good read about mass. and snakes, check out landscape w/ a reptile.
