Did you buy this animal as Wild Caught? Anything can get mites, but ticks are probably an indicator of WC. I ask because if that's the case I would make a vet appt for full treatment and deworming. Get your hands on some Provent O Mite spray and follow the directions to the letter. If you can't get that, you can try using Lice Bedding Spray. Walmart sells it, and you can use Nix or Equate brands. When I used it I removed the animal and the water bowl and treated the entire enclosure with the spray. I kept the snakes in brand new temporary tubs for a day while their enclosures aired out and it allowed me to treat them again before placing the snakes back in. Make sure there is no build up of the spray left on the sides of the enclosure before adding snake back in. The reptile relief will help with the mites actually on the snake. I would use paper towels as bedding because it makes it much easier to see the mites.
Provent O Mite is avail online from most sites that sell reptile supplies and runs around $20. I'm sure others will chime in as well. You can do a search on Mite treatment on this site and find tons of threads about how to get rid of them. Good luck!
