    LOST/STOLEN Tegu

    Yeah.
I got home today, in a great mood because I've busted butt on HR669 all day, during work. Then a neighbor came up just as I got home, with Groo in a bag. Yeah, my newly returned Groo, but she seems okay, just a little freaked out.
I immediately rushed to check the back pen.. and someone had gone in and opened it up, either stealing Noah(the B&W female) or just leaving it open for both her and Groo to escape.
Gracie was still inside the pen, but really freaked out.
I have NEVER had anyone go into my backyard, which is fully fenced. Now, I won't be able to let ANY of the lizards use the outdoor enclosure. Even if I locked it with a padlock, someone could cut the wire.
    I'm so ANGRY!!!!!!!!
I've been busting butt to do a lot of "right things" lately, I'm totally exhausted from staying up to early morning hours stuffing envelopes and addressing more. And now THIS????
    Sigh.
Stuff like this makes me just feel like "Why bother?" I called the police, and the response was "Are you certain you didn't just leave it open?" No concern.
    I'm just SICK.

That sucks. I hope she gets returned to you as well. There are so few people in this world who care about anything but themselves (except for people in this forum of course). I knew a girl who's ex-husband broke into her house while her and her kids were sleeping. He stole her cell phone and preceeded to call her everyday discribing how her and her kids were sleeping. AND that if she called the cops he would be back to kill someone. All the police said was, "Do you honestly think he's a real threat?" Grrrrrrr. AND we wonder why people want to sleep with guns at night?

    Awww Wolfy, that sucks.

Have you considered setting up a webcam?

    Damn, that just sucks.

Perhaps a dog? They are statistically the #1 theft deterrent.

    That's terrible...

But one thing, before you start banging down doors, is it possible that it was a young kid trying to "say hello" to the animals who didn't know any better?

That really sucks! Poor tegu hopefully she just ran off and will come back soon. In my city we have had a huge amount of pets( mainly purebred dogs) stolen then sold.
    Too many pets to list!

    Re: LOST/STOLEN Tegu

Yeah.. I don't KNOW that someone TOOK Noah, but I know someone came in my side gate(almost never use the gates, as I use my backdoor), and opened the pen up. I'm not sure why they would open it if they didn't take one.
Gracie and Groo are safe. Noah is missing. I finally got the police to say they would send a deputy out to at least file some sort of report.
I'm just ill over it. There's no way I can trust to put any of the lizards outside now. I never thought I'd have to put security in to protect a few pet lizards. It's hard to see into my back yard, unless you're cutting through the woods, or trespassing.

How high is your fence? Maybe someone saw inside it, somehow, and saw the lizzies?

I hope you find your missing one, it's just sick that someone would steal/open the cage, without cause or concern. People are so concieted these days it's unreal...
